I have used the typical convention of having my masthead in the top left hand corner of the front cover. I have done this because I wanted the visual identity of my logo to be visible when the magazine is displayed in a shop rack. By having my masthead in the top left I feel that it is easier for my audience to identify the magazine masthead.

I did not want to challenge the convention of moving my masthead to another location on the page because I did not want to change too many of the established conventions of a typical magazine as this may turn my audience away. The established conventions are for the masthead to be at the top of the magazine cover.
