Evaluation question seven

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Looking back on my preliminary task I can see that I have made a massive improvement. I have gained a lot more knowledge due to research into existing music magazines and this helped me to improve as I realised the conventions of a magazine help massively in targeting the audience.

Many factors contributed towards my improvement. One of the main factors was the use of planning, when creating my magazine for a second time I came up with a variety of ideas of masthead names, taglines etc. This helped me to discover the best ideas and which idea would be best suited for my target audience. I also done a number of sketches when deciding the layout for my magzine front cover, contents and double page spread.

From my preliminary task I have learnt to experiment more with the tools of photoshop as this helped me to discover new tools and techniques that I could use to make my magazine look better and by this I also expanded by knowledge of photoshop.

As well as expanding my knowledge of technology I have also learnt more general knowledge about how media institions attract their target audience.
